Abstract
1,025,495. Prestressing concrete. A. MANTSCHEFF. Jan. 25, 1963 [Jan. 29, 1962], No. 3208/63. Heading E1V. An intermediate part 18 having a length approximating to the prestressing travel is inserted between the concrete 12 and the anchoring device 17 on a longitudinallymovable prestressing element 10 within a tubular sheath 11. The port 18 may be of steel or concrete and may be divided to allow assembly round the element 10 when the stressing jack 16 bears on the concrete 12. The anchor plate 17 interposed between a nut 14 on the element 10 and the part 18 is divided to allow assembly round the element 10, the divided parts being secured together by bolts or the like.
