Abstract

The branch piece for a pre-stressed concrete pipe consists of two concentric cylinders which are threaded. The external cylinder has two wing pieces to allow adequate fixing in the pipe body. The first piece (1) fitted in the pipe has two flanges (2, 3) and has a recess (4), and the head of the branch piece is grooved (10) to adhere to the concrete. There is a passage through the branch piece, the passage being enlarged at the end (15). The branch piece is fitted to the pipe during its manufacture.
