Abstract

1,025,602. Attachments for jib cranes. UNIVERSAL MANON CORPORATION. Aug. 17, 1964 [Oct. 21, 1963], No. 33485/64. Heading B8B. An attachment 17, Fig. 1, mounted on a boom mast 18 so that the latter may be used to support a hoisting rope instead of boom pendants 16, include a member 30, Fig. 4, which can be oriented so that a sheave 33 is either vertical, to support the hoisting line, or horizontal for connection to the boom pendants. The member 30 is held against rotation by detents 36 which engage in recesses 37, it may therefore be rotated in steps of 90 degrees. A member 25, which supports the member 30, is connected to lugs on the end of the boom mast by a shaft 23. Sheaves for the jib luffing cable are attached to the shaft 23 by a plate 19a.
