In a rake-wheel type of haymaking machine a row of rake-wheel supports 4 is secured to a frame-beam 3, each support carrying a rake-wheel 6 when the implement is used by side-delivery, and each rake-wheel is angularly adjustable on its support about a horizontal axis inclined to its rotational axis so that the implement can be converted into a tedder by steps which include the angular adjustment of each rake-wheel, the frame also having auxiliary supports 32 to which some of the rake-wheels can be transferred, for swathturning. In Fig. 1 the frame is 7-shaped in plan and is mounted on three castors 7, 8, 9 one of which, 7, incorporates a hubmounted lifting mechanism 17 which is connected by shafts 19, 23 and connections 22, 25, 26 to the other castors whereby the frame may be lifted bodily during forward motion by a pull on the cable 27. The rake-wheels are mounted in the full-line positions for side-delivery and the machine is drawn by a drawbar 29 in the direction P. For tedding, the rake-wheels are rotated in their mountings through 180 degrees to occupy the dotted position parallel to supports 4, the drawbar 29 being then transferred to a point 31 and the direction of traction being altered to Q. For swathturning, the auxiliary supports, which are pivoted between sector plates 34, can be swung into the dotted positions and can receive the two foremost rake-wheels from the main row. In Fig. 3, the frame comprises a single main beam 48 with supports 49, 59 on both sides and with a further member 51 on which is rotatably mounted a bracket 54 for connection to tractor hitch-links. In this construction, the frame is always drawn in the direction V, but is inverted (Fig. 4, not shown) about the axis 52 of the bracket 54, for tedding. For swath-turning, the foremost rake-wheels 50 are transferred to the supports 59.
