679,036. Side-delivery rakes. DICKIE, J. May 29, 1951 [March 1, 1950], No. 5209/50. Class 6(iii) A side-delivery rake of the kind having tine-bars 12 suspended between rotatable spiders 11, 11a is adapted for pivotal connection to a tractor and is supported on one side by a castor wheel 21 and on the other by a wheel 26 which can be fixed to rotate in two or more planes so that the rake may be drawn in an offset position during normal working, but longitudinally behind the tractor (as shown in dotted lines), for transport. In the form shown, the spider 11 is driven from the tractor power take-off 13 through a jointed shaft 14 supported above the drawbar 9. The main frame 5 extends obliquely to the line of travel and carries a pillar 15 at one end supporting the vertical swivel-shaft 18 of the castor wheel 21. A similar pillar 22 at the other end supports the shaft 24 of the wheel 26, which is fixable by a pin 29 passing through registering holes in plates 27 and 28. In a modification, the rake is supported on two castor wheels and is driven, through gearing, by the fixable wheel 26.
