Abstract
1,018,756. Hopper trailer vehicle unloading; shoots. F. W. WADDY, and J. D. WADDY Dec. 23, 1964 [July 4, 1964], No. 27656/64. Headings B8E and B8S. A trailer has a hopper 9 and a discharge conveyer and elevator 12, 20 for delivering the contents to a desired position such as an agricultural spreader. The elevator may be a separate belt driven from the conveyer in turn driven by a power unit 16 or a single belt may be run over suitable guide pulleys. The hopper 9 is mounted on a sub-frame 6 supported within a main frame 1 which also supports within it wheels 2 on stub shafts secured to a bell-crank pivoted on a shaft 33. Hydraulic ram cylinders can actuate the bell-crank 34 so that the wheels can be raised and locked in their operative position or can be lowered so that the frame 1 rests on the ground. Stop valves allow each cylinder 36 to be operated independently so that the frame can be levelled on uneven ground. An hydraulically operated draw-bar jack 42 is provided. The belt 12 runs under the converging sides of the hopper 9 with flexible strips to prevent material spread. A deflection cone is fitted over the belt 12.
