Abstract

1393274 Self loading agricultural trailer G LUCAS 20 April 1972 [20 April 1971 10 Nov 1971] 18373/72 Heading B8E A self loading agricultural trailer 1 having tractor driven devices has an endless conveyer 2 for moving material within it, a rotor 9 which may consist of a sprial of sheet metal with fixed projections to cut into silage to feed it to an elevator comprising endless chains 10 to receive material to be lifted into the trailer. The rotor 9 is mounted on a frame 5 elevatable by jacks 6 so that it can engage the silage at the top, Fig. 3, or bottom, Fig. 1. The motor 9 may be disengaged or removed and a normal ground engaging pick-up device may be used or the elevator may pick-up material directly. The drives may be reversed so that the conveyer 2 delivers the trailer contents to the elevator which conveys it to a transverse discharge screw or the conveyer 2 may discharge the contents directly from the front of the trailer or to a transverse hopper provided with a discharge screw or to crusher-chopper. All the devices are driven from a tractor at a speed controlled by a lever 3.
