Abstract

1,057,013. Discharging bulk material. ATKINSON'S OF CLITHEROE Ltd. April 23, 1965 [April 29, 1964], No. 17864/64. Heading B8E. Bulk material is ejected from a vehicle body by a movable bulkhead 22 which is pulled towards the rear by four stainless steel wires 28, which are attached one to each corner, and pass round pulleys 29 to be connected at 30 to drive chains 26. The latter pass round sprockets 27 which are synchronously driven by a motor 36. A power take-off shaft from the vehicle engine or an hydraulic pump drives the motor 36. Felt sealing strips are provided on the bulkhead and bottom and side rollers. Discharge is through either rear doors 16 or bottom doors 19.
