Abstract

1276711 Vehicle endless belt unloading device CCI MARQUARDT CORP 2 Sept 1969 43428/69 Heading B8E A trailer comprising a front wall 22, side walls 24, 26, a tailgate 30 and a heavy gauge sheetmetal floor 28 is unloaded by an endless belt 32, the upper run of which slides over the floor without interposed rollers. The belt 32 passes over end rollers at least one of which is driven by an hydraulic motor 86 through a reduction gear 88. Preferably endless chains 96, 97 are attached at either side of the belt 32 to be engaged by driven sprockets at each side and end of the floor. The motors are driven by a doubleacting hydraulic pump driven by the power take-off from the tractor vehicle. The side walls which slope inwards have stiffeners 58 and extension plates 61, 62 to attach the walls to the floor 28. To seal the cavities 63 thus formed seals 64, 68 of rubber strips or like material are interposed between the bottom of the walls and the floor.
