Abstract

1305633 Load carrying vehicles SEADYKE FREIGHT SYSTEMS Ltd 22 June 1971 [24 Aug 1970] 23693/70 Heading B7B [Also in Division B8] A container for the storage and/or transportation of bulk materials and which may form an integral or demountable load carrying portion of a vehicle or trailer, discharges its load via bottom openings 20, 21 by including false bottoms 22, 23 and 24. False bottom 22 partly covers opening 20, and bottoms 23, 24 which are hinged at 25 partly cover openings 20, 21, one end of each bottom being raised via pulleys 29, 28 and cables 33, 27 to effect discharge. Hydraulic or screw jacks may alternatively be used to effect discharge. Each opening is closed by a manually operable cover 32, 31 and a grid 30 may be provided in the normally open portion of opening 21.
