Abstract

1,071,233. Roller mills. P. R. KYNASTON. May 10, 1966 [Feb. 13, 1965], No. 6353/65. Heading B2A. Apparatus for crushing and bagging grain and other crops comprises a wheeled chassis 10 carrying a feed-hopper 18 leading to a roller mill 16, 17 and an elevator 30, 31 to receive the output from the roller mill and carry it upward to a discharge point, the chassis also carrying a platform 40 on which bags can be placed to receive the product from a shoot mounted under the discharge point. As described, the mill comprises rollers 16, 17 and a feed roller (19, Fig. 2). Feed is regulated by a slide (23). Output from the mill is delivered by an auger 26 to the elevator 30, 31 and thence to a twin dispersal shoot 33, which is forked at 33a, 33b, with a gate 36 operated by a lever 37 to open and close one or other of the outlets. Pressure in the roller mill is set by a handwheel (45) and screw (46) locked by a device 47. The whole apparatus is driven by the power take-off shaft of a tractor.
