Abstract

1,015,578. Reciprocating motors. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. April 8, 1963 [April 11, 1962], No. 13891/63. Heading H2A. [Also in Divisions B4 and F2] In a dry shaving apparatus, a cutting member 8 is reciprocated by a motor having an oscillatory armature 4, a leaf spring 6 constituting the sole connection between the member 8 and armature 4. The leaf spring 6 carries at one end a finger 9, which can turn and slide between projections 8a on the member 8, and is rigidly secured to the armature 4 at the other end. Intermediate at its ends the spring is located between rollers 10 made of elastic material. In a modification, a yoke 16, Fig. 2 (not shown), is secured to the free end of a leaf spring 6 and carries two identical fingers which engage sockets in cutting members 8 and 14.
