Abstract
An alloy for use in making a composite metal sheet structure having internal passageways comprises: .Zr.0.1-0.3% .Fe.up to 1.0% .Si.up to 1.0% .Cu.up to 0.2% .Mn.up to 0.05% .Zn.up to 0.1% .Al.the balance The alloy is cast at above 1325 DEG F., soaked at 850-900 DEG F. and then hot rolled. The composite sheet comprising a sheet of the above material and one of a similar alloy not containing zirconium may be pressure welded (e.g. by hot rolling), cold rolled and then partially annealed (e.g. at 550-600 DEG F.) prior to inflation by fluid pressure.
