A platform 16 for workmen adapted to be carried collapsed on a vehicle is pivotally mounted on articulated booms 13, 8, 7 mounted on a turntable 6 on the vehicle, the booms being raised to move the platform to operative position by hydraulic jacks 14, 10, 9 respectively, links and levers 17-25 ensuring the maintenance of the horizontal position of the platform 16, the booms 7, 8 being horizontal and the boom 13 extending below the boom 8 in collapsed position. In a modification the platform and boom 13 fold between the booms 7, 8 in collapsed position. Specifications 751,599 and 971,789 are referred to.
