Valve-gear.-The exhaust valve D is actuated by a tappet I which is slidably mounted in guides G, G' carried by a shaft F rotated at one-quarter the engine speed. The tappet is raised by a cam B carried by a shaft A, which is rotated at engine speed and carries a similar cam C for raising a similar tappet J actuating the inlet valve.
