Abstract

110,967. Daimler Co., and Berriman, A. E. Nov. 27, 1916. Valve-gear.-In a V-type of engine, the inlet and exhaust valves are actuated from a common cam shaft located low down in the V, by overhead levers mounted upon a spindle 6 inclined to the axis of the cam shaft. The inlet valves 12 are actuated by the lever 2 and the exhaust valves 10 by the lever 1, the ends of the levers which engage the driving-rods being in a plane containing the axis of the cam shaft. Specifications 103,960 and 103,785, [both in Class 7 (ii), Internal-combustion engines, arrangement &c. of], are referred to.
