Valve-gear.-In an internal-combustion engine having a cam shaft A placed above the cylinder between two inclined valves B which are operated by rocking levers E, tappet rods F in contact with the ends of the valve stems and of the levers are guided in the walls of a casing D which encloses the levers. To prevent the escape of oil from the casing, bushes G surrounding the tappet rods F extend above the level of the oil in the casing.
