Abstract

1,008,069. Stoppers. LES PARFUMS JEAN DESSES. May 1, 1963 [April 19, 1963], No. 17187/63. Heading B8T. An ornamental bottle stopper device comprises a sealing member 16 of flexible material which fits on the neck of the bottle and a stopper head 22 made of transparent material such as glass, the sealing member and the head being secured together by means of an engraved metal ring 24 which is set with its upper end in a groove 28 formed in the lower portion of the head. The head is formed with a flat lower face and the sealing member with a flat upper face and an engraved metal disc 20 may be interposed therebetween. One of the flat faces may have a recess formed therein for receiving said disc. The sealing member may be of plastics material and may be of other than the threaded type. The ring which may be other than metal may be secured to the sealing member by adhesive or alternatively the lower edge of it may be inturned.
