Abstract

1,005,734. Binding-posts. SABER PRODUCTS (PATENT) Ltd. June 8, 1962 [June 10, 1961], No. 21050/61. Heading H2E. An electrical terminal assembly comprises a metal tube 12 round which is moulded a P.T.F.E. bush 11 having a flange 1 la which abuts the surface of a housing 13 into a hole 13a in which the bush is forced. Tube 12 is of clover-leaf crosssection and has projections 12<SP>1</SP> to retain it in the bush. A spigot 14 may be inserted in the central hole or wires may be distributed about the tube and secured by dip soldering. In modifications the bush may be closed at either end, the tube 12 may be replaced by a circular metal plug with through bores in it, or the bush may have a plurality of individual or paired conductive tubes moulded in it. A further P.T.F.E. bush with a spigot moulded in it may be inserted in one of the tubular holes.
