Abstract

1,002,071. Drawer and shell boxes. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. April 23, 1963, No. 15984/63. Heading B8P. [Also in Division A4] A drawer and shell box, particularly intended for holding electronic components and preferably made of cardboard or plastics, is formed with the sides, or the sides and the closed end of the shell having walls 4, 5 formed of two layers each layer being of substantially the same dimensions and relatively displaced with respect to each other, thereby forming a dependent skirt 6 and a corresponding recessed portion at the upper periphery of the shell. A number of such boxes may be interlocked by engaging the skirt of an upper box in the recess of a lower box to form a stack thereof. In a second embodiment (Fig. 3, not shown), tongues are provided in the side recesses which co-operate with slots in the skirt of a superposed box.
