A refrigerator door magnetic sealing and closing arrangement comprises a magnetic strip 4, i.e., a magnet or magnetic material partly surrounded by or moulded into an artificial plastic interior lining 7 of the body of the container or of its door. The foot 8 of the sealing strip 6 may be injection moulded or pushed into the T-shaped slot 5 and the strip 6 includes a magnetic insert 10 such as a resilient magnetic strip or magnetic rods. Either item 4 or item 10 may be a magnet and the one may be on the container to cooperate with the other on the door.
