Abstract

100,065. Green, A. L. Feb. 6, 1915, [Convention date]. Trimming. - A rotary heel - seattrimmer comprises a number of spokes 11 and blades 12 projecting from a hub A, each blade having its toe. or cutting-edge 13 at a greater distance from the centre of the hub than its heel or rear end 14, while the thickness of the blade on the side edge is uniform from the toe to the hecl. The space between each pair of teeth is formed by cutting a slot a, one edge of which is substantially tangential to the hub A, while the cutting-edge is formed by grinding the surface 16 along a line also substantially tangential to the hub. The cutter is formed with a flange 15, which rests against the guide by which the knife is guided in the heel seat crease.
