Abstract

Copper alloys for use as conductive parts of electrical equipment contain about 0,2 to 1 per cent of chromium and at least 0,35 but less than 1 per cent of aluminium, the remainder being chiefly copper. The alloys may contain tin or zinc or both in amounts up to a total of about 5 per cent. The alloys may be heat-treated by quenching from 700-900 DEG C., and reheating at about 400-550 DEG C., for about 12 to 3 hours.
