Abstract

Copper alloys contain at least 50 per cent of copper, 0,1-0,5 per cent of phosphorus, and a total of 0,2-45 per cent of one or more of the metals manganese, cobalt, and chromium, with or without one or more other metals excepting beryllium, lead, and cadmium, for example tin, iron and nickel. The alloys may be heat-treated by quenching from over 700 DEG C. and ageing at 400-600 DEG C., or by heating to over 700 DEG C. and slowly cooling.
