Abstract
L'invention concerne un nouveau procédé de transformation d'une charge comprenant au moins un sucre en 5-hydroxyméthylfurfural, dans lequel ladite charge est mise en contact avec un ou plusieurs catalyseurs inorganiques de déshydratation et une ou plusieurs sources de chlorure en présence d'au moins un solvant polaire aprotique pris seul ou en mélange, à une température comprise entre 30°C et 200°C, et à une pression comprise entre 0,1 MPa et 10 MPa.
