Abstract

Le système de propulsion pour chaise roulante (10) de l'invention est remarquable en ce qu'il comprend deux tiges de propulsion (50) installées de façon à pouvoir pivoter par rapport à l'axe (201) de chaque roue motrice des deux cotés du châssis de la chaise roulante (10) et pouvant être balancées vers l'avant et vers l'arrière de façon sélective, une poignée (501), un frein à main (61) et un module de freinage (60) installé à l'autre extrémité de la tige de propulsion (50), et le module de freinage (60) étant contrôlé par le frein à main (61) pour pouvoir choisir de bloquer ou de laisser libre les roues motrices (20).
