Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif enjoliveur entre une vitre fixe et un élément d'une carrosserie de véhicule automobile, ainsi qu'un véhicule automobile équipé d'au moins un tel dispositif enjoliveur. L'élément de carrosserie peut par exemple, être en matière plastique. En effet, les carrosseries des véhicules automobiles comportent de plus en plus d'éléments de carrosserie qui sont réalisés en matière plastique. Ces éléments en matière plastique sont disposés à côté d'éléments de carrosserie en métal. C'est le cas, par exemple, des ailes avant et/ou arrière qui sont adjacentes aux portes comportant des panneaux métalliques. Généralement, les ailes sont disposées au-dessous de vitres fixes, comme par exemple des vitres des montants de baie avant ou des vitres de custode tandis que les panneaux de porte sont disposés au-dessous de vitres mobiles. Par ailleurs, pour assurer l'étanchéité et la continuité visuelle entre les vitres et les éléments de carrosserie et les éléments de carrosserie entre eux, des joints formant des enjoliveurs et des organes d'étanchéité sont montés entre les vitres fixes et les ailes ainsi qu'entre les vitres mobiles et les panneaux de porte. Jusqu'à présent, pour les véhicules dont l'ensemble des éléments de la carrosserie sont en métal, les joints entre les vitres fixes et les ailes en métal sont surmoulés sur les bords inférieurs de chaque vitre et sont en appui sur l'aile adjacente. De plus comme ces éléments peuvent connaître des dispersions de positionnement d'un véhicule à l'autre, le joint surmoulé sur le bord inférieur d'une vitre peut être mal positionné par rapport à l'aile adjacente. De ce fait, ces éléments nuisent à la qualité perçue de l'ensemble de la carrosserie du véhicule. L'invention a pour but de proposer un dispositif enjoliveur entre une vitre fixe et un élément de carrosserie qui évite ces inconvénients. L'invention a donc pour objet un dispositif enjoliveur entre une vitre fixe et un élément de carrosserie d'un véhicule automobile, comme par exemple une aile, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte, dans la zone d'affleurement entre la vitre fixe et l'élément, un joint d'étanchéité monté directement sur ledit élément de carrosserie. Selon d'autres caractéristiques de l'invention : - le joint d'étanchéité est formé par un profilé de section en "U" destiné à s'emboîter sur des pattes d'accrochage ménagées sur le bord de l'élément de carrosserie, - le profilé comporte extérieurement au moins une lèvre souple d'appui sur le bord de la vitre, - le profilé comporte une âme métallique, et - le profilé est réalisé par extrusion. L'invention a aussi pour objet un véhicule automobile, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte au moins un tel dispositif enjoliveur. Selon une autre caractéristique, le dispositif enjoliveur est monté sur un élément de carrosserie en matière plastique. L'invention sera mieux comprise à la lecture de la description qui va suivre, donnée à titre d'exemple et faite en référence aux dessins annexés, sur lesquels : - la Fig. 1 est une vue schématique en élévation d'une partie d'un côté d'un véhicule automobile équipé d'un dispositif enjoliveur, conforme à l'invention, - la Fig. 2 est une vue schématique en coupe transversale selon la ligne 2-2 de la Fig. 1, - la Fig. 3 est une vue schématique en perspective du bord supérieur d'un élément de carrosserie en matière plastique destiné à recevoir le dispositif enjoliveur, conforme à l'invention, - la Fig. 4 est une vue schématique en coupe transversale selon la ligne 4-4 de la Fig. 1, et - la Fig. 5 est une vue schématique en perspective du bord supérieur d'un élément de carrosserie en métal destiné à recevoir un joint d'étanchéité. Sur la Fig. 1, on a représenté schématiquement une partie avant d'une carrosserie 1 d'un véhicule automobile qui comporte un élément 20 de carrosserie en matière plastique et un élément 30 de carrosserie en métal. L'élément 20 en matière plastique constitue une aile avant et l'élément 30 en métal constitue un panneau de porte disposé en continuité de l'élément 20. Dans la description qui suit, les éléments de carrosserie, respectivement 20 et 30, sont dénommés l'aile 20 et le panneau de porte 30. L'aile 20 est surmontée d'une vitre fixe 2, comme par exemple une vitre de montant de baie de préférence collée sur la structure 4 du véhicule, et le panneau de porte 30 est surmonté d'une vitre mobile 3. L'aile 20 peut notamment être fixée sur une partie de la structure 4 par l'intermédiaire d'un support, non représenté. Ainsi que montré sur les Figs. 1 et 2, la zone d'affleurement entre la vitre fixe 2 et l'aile 20 en matière plastique comporte un dispositif enjoliveur conforme à l'invention, formé par un joint d'étanchéité désigné par la référence générale 21 et qui est monté directement sur le bord supérieur de l'aile 20. A cet effet, le joint d'étanchéité 21, représenté à la Fig. 2, est formé par un profilé 22 de section en "U" présentant deux branches, respectivement 22a et 22b, pour l'emboîtement de ce profilé 22 sur des pattes d'accrochage 25 ménagées sur le bord de l'aile 20, ainsi que représenté à la Fig. 3. Ces pattes 25 sont réparties sur le bord supérieur de l'aile 20 pour maintenir le joint d'étanchéité 22 sur toute sa longueur. Le profilé 22 comporte extérieurement au moins une lèvre souple 23 d'appui sur le bord de la vitre fixe 2 afin d'assurer l'étanchéité. De façon facultative, le profilé 22 peut comporter une âme métallique 24. De préférence, le profilé 22 est réalisé par extrusion et il est en caoutchouc ou en matière plastique. La zone d'affleurement entre la vitre mobile 3 et le panneau de porte 30, est également pourvue d'un joint d'étanchéité désigné par la référence générale 31 qui est monté, de manière classique, directement sur le bord supérieur du panneau de porte 30, ainsi que montré à la Fig. 4. Ce joint d'étanchéité 31 est formé par un profilé 32 qui présente une forme générale sensiblement identique à la forme générale du profilé 22 du joint d'étanchéité 21. Ce profilé 32 de section en "U" comporte deux branches, respectivement 32a et 32b, qui s'emboîtent sur des pattes d'accrochage 35 ménagées sur le bord supérieur du panneau de porte, ainsi que montré à la Fig. 5. Le profilé 32 comporte extérieurement au moins un lèvre souple 33 d'appui sur le bord de la vitre mobile 3 afin d'assurer l'étanchéité entre cette vitre 3 et le panneau de porte 30. Le montage du profilé 22 formant le joint d'étanchéité 21 directement sur le bord de l'aile 20 en matière plastique permet de s'affranchir des dispersions de positionnement de la vitre fixe 2 et de l'aile 20 en matière plastique sur la structure 4, des variations géométriques de l'aile dues à son isostatisme, ses dilatations... et d'obtenir un aspect continu des joints d'étanchéité sur toute la longueur du véhicule, du fait d'une forme extérieure des joints d'étanchéité sensiblement identiques. According to other features of the invention: - the seal is formed by a section section "U" intended to fit on the fastening tabs formed on the edge of the bodywork element, - the profile has externally at least one flexible lip support on the edge of the window, - the profile comprises a metal core, and - the profile is made by extrusion. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle, characterized in that it comprises at least one such device hubcap. According to another characteristic, the embellisher device is mounted on a plastic bodywork element. The invention will be better understood on reading the description which will follow, given by way of example and with reference to the appended drawings, in which: FIG. 1 is a diagrammatic elevational view of a portion of a side of a motor vehicle equipped with a trim device according to the invention; FIG. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view along line 2-2 of FIG. 1, - FIG. 3 is a schematic perspective view of the upper edge of a plastic body member for receiving the embellisher device according to the invention; FIG. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view along line 4-4 of FIG. 1, and - FIG. 5 is a schematic perspective view of the upper edge of a metal body member for receiving a seal. In FIG. 1 schematically shows a front portion of a body 1 of a motor vehicle which comprises a body member 20 of plastics material and a body member 30 of metal. The plastic member 20 constitutes a front fender and the metal member 30 constitutes a door panel disposed in continuity with the member 20. In the following description, the body members, respectively 20 and 30, are called the flange 20 and the door panel 30. The flange 20 is surmounted by a fixed window 2, such as for example a bay window pane preferably bonded to the structure 4 of the vehicle, and the door panel 30 is surmounted by a movable window 3. The wing 20 may in particular be attached to a portion of the structure 4 by means of a support, not shown. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the flush zone between the fixed window 2 and the plastic wing 20 comprises a hub device according to the invention, formed by a seal designated by the general reference 21 and which is mounted directly on the upper edge of the wing 20. For this purpose, the seal 21, shown in FIG. 2, is formed by a profile section "U" having two branches, respectively 22a and 22b, for the interlocking of this section 22 on hooking lugs 25 formed on the edge of the flange 20, as well as shown in FIG. 3. These lugs 25 are distributed over the upper edge of the flange 20 to maintain the seal 22 over its entire length. The profile 22 has externally at least one flexible lip 23 bearing on the edge of the fixed window 2 to ensure sealing. Optionally, the profile 22 may comprise a metal core 24. Preferably, the profile 22 is made by extrusion and is made of rubber or plastic. The flush zone between the movable window 3 and the door panel 30, is also provided with a seal designated by the general reference 31 which is mounted, conventionally, directly on the upper edge of the door panel 30, as shown in FIG. 4. This seal 31 is formed by a profile 32 which has a general shape substantially identical to the general shape of the profile 22 of the seal 21. This profile 32 of section "U" has two branches, respectively 32a and 32b, which engage on latches 35 provided on the upper edge of the door panel, as shown in FIG. 5. The profile 32 externally comprises at least one flexible lip 33 bearing on the edge of the movable pane 3 to seal between the pane 3 and the door panel 30. The mounting of the profile 22 forming the seal Sealing 21 directly on the edge of the wing 20 of plastic material makes it possible to dispense with the positioning dispersions of the fixed window 2 and the wing 20 of plastic material on the structure 4, geometric variations of the wing due to its isostatism, its dilatations ... and to obtain a continuous appearance of the seals throughout the length of the vehicle, due to an outer shape substantially identical seals.
