Abstract

The door or window, opening by means of concealed hinges on one side and a catch on the other, is made to look like a two-paneled door or window with a central opening by having vertical bars (7) separating two double-glazed panels (9). The bars are made from assembled internal and external extrusions of a color selected to go with the interior and exterior components of the main frame, and they are fitted with a thermal bridge breaking system with plastic strips (13). The upper and lower ends of the vertical bars are shaped, e.g. by machining or cutting, to fit with the main frame horizontal members at the top and bottom of the door or window.

  The present invention relates to striking windows or French windows (for example French-style, tilt-and-turn or bellows) with concealed opening, and it relates more particularly to single-glazed windows or French windows

  According to a preferred arrangement of the invention, the complementary element interposed between two crosspieces of the leaf constitutes an intermediate upright allowing the reception and fixing of the glazing constituting the leaf.

  According to another arrangement of the invention, the intermediate upright has at each of its ends, an arrangement of suitable shape, produced for example by machining, cutting or adding a molded part, allowing on the one hand, its integration into each glazing rebate arranged in the crosspieces of the opening with which said upright is associated, and, on the other hand, its assembly on said crosspieces, which is produced by

example by alveovissage.

  According to the invention, the intermediate upright may also have, at its ends on the external side, an arrangement of suitable shape, produced for example by machining, cutting or other, to allow continuity of the glazing bead and at least the glazing joint associated with the crosspieces.   The two portions of the window shown in Figures 1 and 2 show a

  frame 1 and frame 2 of the sash.

  Hinges 3 visible in Figure 2, provide the connection between the frames 1 and 2, and a closing mechanism operated by the handle 4 allows either the opening of the leaf in a conventional manner around the axis of the hinges, or

  swinging of the leaf around its lower part.

  Note in the figures, an additional element 7 constituting a kind of intermediate amount between the lower cross member 21 of the frame 2 and the upper cross member 22. This element or amount 7 divides the surface of the glazing

  The width of this upright 7 may vary depending on the type of window and

of the desired appearance.

  For an observer placed outside, the visible part, as shown in Figure 1, consists of frame 1 of the frame, but, given that it is a window, or French window, with a hidden sash , frame 2 of

  Such an amount of structure is shown in the following figures.

  Figures 3 and 4 show in horizontal half-sections, a window or French window comprising a central upright acting as an intermediate structure. Found in these figures, the frame 1 of the frame, the frame 2 of the opening, which frame 2 is of the hidden type, that is to say that it does not appear

  In the case of Figure 3, that is to say for a large amount 7, one can install two glazing beads 14, arranged to lock each of the glazing 9 while as shown in Figure 4, in the case of '' a smaller width, the glazing beads are in the form

  a one-piece piece snapped into the grooves 15 of the profile 72.

  In general, the amount comprises either a single monobloc glazing bead whose width corresponds to the width of said amount, or two glazing beads and these various glazing beads are in the form of a

  profile made of aluminum or thermoplastic material such as PVC or other.

  Figures 5, 6 and 7 show alternative embodiments of the upright 7.

  These uprights 7 are in the form of an H, that is to say that they comprise U-shaped rebates which directly accept the glazing 9, without glazing bead, with simply glazing joints. Glazing assembly 9

is done by interlocking.

  In the case of FIGS. 3 and 4, the rebates 16 have a cross-section in the form of a square, while in the case of FIGS. 5, 6 and 7, the rebates 16 have a

  U-shaped section arranged symmetrically back to back.

  Figures 5 and 6 show amounts of different widths but which are made of two aluminum profiles assembled by bars 13

  forming a thermal break.

  Figure 7 shows in half-section, as for Figure 6, an amount of small width but without thermal break, that is to say an amount

monolithic in aluminum profile.

  Figure 11 shows the assembly of the end of a structural upright 7 on the cross member 21 of the frame 2 of the opening. The upright 7 shown in FIG. 11 is an upright of the T-section type, that is to say comprising grooves 15

  for installation of glazing beads 14.

  The upright also has open grooves 17 which allow assembly on the cross member 21 of the frame 2 by alveovillage by means of the screws

  18 after drilling the walls of said crosspiece.

  The upright 7 has an arrangement in the form of a notch 19 at its ends on the internal side, to take a position on each cross member of the frame and conform to the shape of the rebate of said frame 2. This arrangement is produced by machining, cutting and it may also consist by adding an additional molded part, made of plastic or other material, not shown, of

adapted form.

  There is also an arrangement in the form of a relief 20 made at the end and on the external part of the central wing of the T-post of the upright 7. This relief 20 is situated in the external plane of the glazing, and preferably in

  removal of this plane, allowing, as shown in Figure 12, the passage and continuity of the glazing bead and its glazing joint, mounted on the cross member of the frame 2, at each end of the upright. This notching 20, in the case of an upright 7 of the type of those shown in FIGS. 3, 5 to 7, places the internal partition 30 of said upright in the plane of the external bare portion of the glazing 9, which makes it possible to create a bridge between the glazing 9 and an almost continuous surface for the joint

23 of the 14 'glazing bead.

  Figure 12 shows, in perspective, seen from the outside, the lower part of the upright 7 assembled on the cross member 21 of the frame 2 of the opening, which

  opening is closed, pressing on the cross member 14 of the frame 1.

  The intermediate upright 7 in FIG. 12 is of the monolithic type, with

  H section and its rebates are provided with glazing seals.

  The visible external part of the upright 7 stops above the glazing seal 23 associated with the glazing bead 14 which is mounted on the lower cross member 21

of frame 2 of the opening.

  A suitable notch arranged in the lower part and in the upper part of the upright 7 allows positioning and ensures the continuity of the

  glazing bead 14 and the glazing and battée seal as appropriate.

  In the case of a composite upright 7, that is to say made with several aluminum profiles joined by bars 13, it is possible to adapt the shade of said upright inside, with that of the frame of the opening and adapting to the exterior, the shade of the upright and / or the glazing bead (s) with that of the

frame frame.

  The lower part of the upright 7 and in particular the lower part of the internal profile 71, rests on the cross-member 21 while the external lower part of the external profile 72 stops at the upper end of the

  glazing seal 23 associated with the glazing bead 14 'of said crosspiece.

  In the case of FIG. 8, the glazing bead 14 ′ of the lower cross member of the frame 1 is a glazing bead made of thermoplastic material comprising, in a single piece, a glazing joint 23 and a battée joint 24 obtained

directly by spinning.

  FIG. 9 represents an alternative embodiment of the glazing bead 14 ′, which glazing bead is in the form of an aluminum profile with L-shaped section capped with a

  monobloc seal constituting glazing seal 23 and battue seal 24.

  Note that the outer lower end of the upright 7 is flush

  the upper end of the glazing seal 23.

  FIG. 10 shows a glazing bead 14 ′ in the form of an aluminum profile with an L-shaped section which includes a glazing seal 23 while the battue seal is

  consisting of a seal 24 associated with the battue 10 of the frame 1.

  Again, the lower end of the outer part of the upright 7 is flush

  the upper edge of the glazing seal 23.

Claims (10)

- CLAIMS -   1.- Window or French window knocking on a leaf with a hidden leaf, characterized in that it comprises at least, located between two crosspieces of said leaf, at least one complementary element (7) in the form of a profile, which divides the surface of the glazing and gives said leaf, seen from the outside of the window or French window, an aspect of window or French window with at least two leaves hidden openings.   2.- window or French window according to claim 1, characterized in that the complementary element in the form of a profile constitutes an intermediate upright for the reception and fixing of the glazing (9) arranged in the frame (2) of the leaf.   3.- Window or French window according to claim 2, characterized in that the intermediate upright (7) has at its ends an arrangement of suitable shape, produced for example by machining, cutting or other, to allow in particular its integration into the glazed rebate of the cross members of the frame (2) of the leaf, which amount is fixed for example by   alveovissage on said sleepers.   4.- Window or French window according to claim 3, characterized in that the intermediate upright (7) has at its ends on the external side, an arrangement of suitable shape, produced for example by machining, cutting or other, to allow continuity the glazing bead of the lower (21) and upper (22) crosspieces of the sash frame and its seal   glazing (23) and battered as appropriate.   5.- Window or French window according to any one of claims 2   4, characterized in that the intermediate upright (7) has an H-shaped section constituting a real structural upright, with rebates   closed arranged symmetrically or back to back on said upright.   6. Window or French window according to any one of claims 2   4, characterized in that the intermediate upright (7) comprises a structural profile which has a T-shaped section defining the rebates and at least one external closure profile for said rebates, acting as 2789113   1 0 glazing bead (s), provided with means of assembly on the central branch of said T-shaped.   7.- Window or French window according to claim 6, characterized in that the central branch of the T-profile has a groove-shaped arrangement (s) with lug (s) allowing a snap-fitting of the profile (s)   external acting as glazing bead (s).   8.- Window or French window according to claim 6, characterized in that the central branch of the T-shaped profile extends to form the visible central external part of the upright, and has two grooves arranged to allow the latching of glazing beads arranged on either side of said central part.   9.- Window or French window according to any one of claims 2   to 8, characterized in that the intermediate upright (7) comprises means for breaking the thermal bridge such as, for example, bars (13) made of thermoplastic material of the PVC or other type, arranged in the wing   central of the H or T profile.   10.- Window or French window according to any one of claims 2   9, characterized in that the intermediate upright (7) consists of a set of internal and external profiles, the color of which is respectively chosen in relation to that of the internal part and the external part of said window or French window.
