L'ossature du tablier 38 est recouverte au niveau de sa portion la plus externe d'une plaque 39, par exemple, en tôle larmée qui est destinée à servir de pontpromenade lorsque cette plaque est déplacée en position saillante en porte-à-faux au-delà du plancher P de l'abri modulaire. Comme visible sur l'arraché de la figure 10, une pluralité de traverses 38b sont prévues sous la plaque 39 pour permettre à cette plaque de résister à des charges importantes. As can be seen in the cutaway of FIG. 10, a plurality of crossbars 38b are provided under the plate 39 to allow this plate to withstand heavy loads. In the service position illustrated in Figure 10, we see that a large portion of the beams 38a of the deck 38 remains under the floor P to support the plate 39 in cantilever.

On voit, en outre, sur la figure 11, un verrou 47 attaché à une solive de plancher 34, au niveau de la paroi d'extrémité transversale où se trouve la porte 4.
