Abstract

Transportable construction element in the form of a container (1), comprising at least one hinged panel (4) capable of pivoting between a closed position and an open position swung outwards, as well as an internal structure (11) open downwards, comprising an upper panel (12), a front panel (13) and at least two side panels (14) and having a rear opening opposite the said front panel. This internal structure is supported by the container so as to be movable along a path (F), between an inserted position, situated inside the container, and an extended position, in which the hinged panel of the container forms a floor for the internal structure.

Description

The present invention relates to a transportable building element in the form of a container, comprising
  • a floor wall, a ceiling wall and mutually assembled side walls as well as corner elements arranged on the container to receive external compressive or tensile forces, and
  • at least one articulated panel capable of pivoting between a closed position, in which it forms at least part of one of said walls of the building element, and an open position, deployed outwards.

In this patent, an articulated panel is provided forming an entire side wall of the container. This articulated panel can be made to pivot outwards so that in the deployed position its internal surface is coplanar with the internal surface of the floor of the container. The articulated panel is fixedly connected to two of the corner elements, which are arranged at the corners of the container to receive external forces of compression or traction, in particular during the transport of the container and the assembly of a construction from this container. During its pivoting towards the outside, the articulated panel carries with it these two corner elements, to form a stable and solid construction, for example a passage bridge between two assembled containers. Such assembled containers can be provided inter alia for the realization of a hospital, for example mobile. The deployment, together with that of the articulated panel, of side curtains bordering this gangway is also provided for in this patent.

Alone, such a container does not, however, allow the realization of a closed rigid construction, which, after the deployment step, has a greater volume than that of the transported container, this volume being sheltered from the external atmosphere. and therefore bad weather, as well as radiation, shards of projectiles, etc.

Transportable containers have also been known for a long time which are provided with corner elements and of which at least one side panel can be made to pivot towards the outside, certain walls carrying inside the container of vehicles, apparatus, equipment, furniture. , etc ..., assembled in their final place before transport (see for example patents GB-1,347,177 and GB-1,603,613). Transportable containers are also known, provided with corner elements, and comprising panels deployable towards the outside by pivoting, which make it possible to extend the interior volume of the container by a canopy (see FR-A-2,476,716). In this container also, equipment and devices can be permanently mounted in advance, inside the container.

These latter containers have, in the deployed position, a plane of the internal face of the deployed panel which is offset relative to the plane of the internal surface of the ceiling or of the floor with respect to which it pivots. In the deployed position, these containers are either completely open to the outside, or have a canopy open to the outside. They are therefore not intended to form in the deployed state a closed construction, completely sheltered from the weather.

Transportable containers are also known, which allow an enlargement of the volume of the container during its installation, and this by an often complicated deployment of pivoting panels (see EP-A-0 077 103, and WO-84/00573). These containers do not, however, allow easy handling during transport since they are devoid of corner elements which facilitate maneuvers, for example for suspension from lifting devices and for attachment to transport vehicles. Their arrangement does not allow or very little the mounting of heavy equipment on the inner walls of the container.

We also know of an expandable, transportable campsite construction which, after deployment, takes the form of a house with a sloping roof and gables (see US-A-3,653,165). For the deployment of the house, in addition to several pivoting movements of various panels, there is provided a first step of sliding a movable section of the construction relative to a fixed section. Like the fixed section, the mobile section is supported by jacks or jacks, which is complicated when the mobile section slides, or it is supported cantilevered by the fixed section, in particular using beams telescopic. During transport, no equipment can be provided inside the mobile section and little can be really fixed inside the fixed section. This is a light construction, of complex structure and assembly, which has no corner elements. In the folded state, the construction does not represent a single container, but it always forms a set of two sections nested one inside the other in an apparent manner from the outside.

In addition to awkward handling during transport, this arrangement makes it compulsory to work the drawer, formed by the movable section, during transport. Frequent opening and closing with successive place changes of this construction would quickly damage it.

Expandable constructions are known, the external sections of which can slide outwards relative to an internal central section (WO-84/01974), and which have the same drawbacks in handling and nesting as the previous construction.

As described in the introduction to US-A-3,653,165, trailers are also already known for camping which have a compact state for transport and a state deployed using a tent.

The object of the present invention is to provide a transportable construction element in the form of a container of the type described in the preamble, which allows an extension of the volume. internal of the construction element in a simple and very robust manner, the interior of the construction in the extended position remaining well airtight and watertight and protected from the weather in all of its enlarged volume. Advantageously, this container must allow the fixing in advance of apparatus and heavy equipment on a large number of surfaces. The transition of the building element from the transport state with reduced volume to the state of commissioning with enlarged volume should preferably be rapid. Finally, the construction element must advantageously be very resistant both in the transport position, in order to be able to undergo significant stresses during transport, lifting or other handling, as in the extended position where the extended part must also to be in "hard". The deployed construction must allow thermal insolation and advantageously resist radiation, projectile fragments, etc. Frequent passage from the extended state to the recessed state should not pose any problem.

The problem according to the invention is solved by a construction element, as described at the beginning, which further comprises at least one internal structure open downwards, comprising a top panel, a front panel, connected to the latter and located in face of an aforementioned articulated panel in the closed position thereof, and at least two side panels connected to the upper panel and to the front panel, said structure also having a rear opening opposite to said front panel, this structure being supported by the container in a removable manner in a direction, between a sinking position, located inside the container, and an extension position, in which the articulated panel located in front of the front panel forms, in position opening, at least partially a floor for the internal structure.

According to a preferred form of the invention, in the open position, this hinged panel has a coplanar surface with the internal surface of the floor wall.

According to one embodiment of the invention, the construction element comprises rolling means allowing a displacement of the internal structure (s) in their direction. These rolling means can be rollers freely rotating about horizontal axes supported by side panels, arranged parallel to each other, of the removable internal structure, these rollers being arranged so as to be able to roll on said wall of floor and said panel hinges in the open position. The rolling means may also comprise at least two parallel rolling tracks, provided in alignment with said floor wall and said articulated panel in the open position, side panels of the internal structure being arranged so as to be able to roll on these tracks. .

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the construction element comprises first means for guiding the internal structure which are arranged inside the container and second guide means which are carried by the articulated panel, these first and second guide means being arranged relative to one another so as to prevent, during a displacement of the internal structure, a lateral deviation of the latter with respect to said direction.

According to an improved embodiment of the invention, the construction element further comprises means for immobilizing the removable internal structure or structures inside the container when the articulated panel or panels are in the closed position.

According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the internal structure (s) and / or the container have sealing means which isolate the interior from the outside in the extended position of the internal structures.

In the various drawings, identical or analogous elements are designated by the same references.

HARLANDER, Container System Design Developments over two decades, Marine Technology, Vol. 19, n° 4, Oct. 1982, p. 364-376, ou encore par exemple les brevets US-A-2.963.310, 3.691.595, 4.049.149 et 4.212.251).In Figure 1 is shown an embodiment of a building element according to the invention, in the extended position. The transportable building element generally designated by the reference 1 comprises a frame 2 framing a floor wall (not visible in FIG. 1), a ceiling wall 3 and four side walls 4 to 7. These walls, in the closed state of the construction element 1, are arranged in the example illustrated so as to form a parallelepiped container. Chassis 2 supports corner elements 8 which allow the container to receive external forces of compression and traction, for example for the hooking of hooks of lifting cranes, the fixing on transport vehicles designed to receive them, and possibly their stacking . In the examples illustrated, provision is made for standard corner elements meeting the international transport and handling standards ISO (for example ISO 1161), but it is obvious that non-standard corner elements can also be provided according to the invention (see about corner elements for example LA HARLANDER, Container System Design Developments over two decades, Marine Technology, Vol. 19, n ° 4, Oct. 1982, p. 364-376, or even for example US-A patents 2,963,310, 3,691,595, 4,049,149 and 4,212,251).

As shown in Figure 1, a panel formed by the entire side wall 4 is articulated on the frame 1 so as to be able to pivot outwards. In the closed position, this panel forms the side wall 4 of the building element 1 in the form of a container. In the open position, its internal surface 9 is coplanar with the internal surface of the floor wall. This panel is connected to two of the corner elements 10 of the container, which therefore pivot with it. This articulated panel is therefore of the type described in patent LU-A-85595 and its articulation as well as its drive means are therefore known and will not be described in more detail here.

à ce sujet LU-A-85595).It is obvious that the articulated panel or panels of the construction element according to the invention need not necessarily conform to this latter patent, as will also appear from the exemplary embodiments illustrated in the other figures. The container floor and the internal surface of the hinged panel can advantageously form a continuous surface directly between them or by means of an intermediate element covering the joint (see on this subject LU-A-85595).

As can be seen from FIG. 1, an internal structure, generally designated by the reference 11, has been pushed or pulled out of the container so as to rest on the panel articulated 4 in the open position.

This internal structure 11 comprises an upper panel 12, a front panel 13, which is connected to the upper panel 12 and is arranged opposite the internal surface 9 of the articulated panel 4 when the latter is in the closed position, and at least two side panels 14 and 15 (of which only the panel 14 is visible in FIG. 1). These side panels are also connected to the upper panel 12, and each of them is connected to the front panel 13. This structure is open downwards, that is to say in the recessed position of the internal structure at inside the container, the floor of the container serves as a floor for the internal structure 11, while, in the extended position, it is the articulated panel 4 which plays this role, in any case partially.

Opposite the front panel 13, the internal structure has a rear opening which is preferably complete between the side panels 14 and 15. It can however also be only partial, with a partition not shown in the unopened space. . We could even consider a rear opening reduced to a door opening.

It can easily be envisaged that the front panel 13 and / or the side panels 14 and 15 are arranged totally or partially open. In Figure 1 there is shown a partial opening 77, easily closable in known manner, by a door leaf.

The internal structure 11 is supported by the container in a removable manner in a direction, represented by the double arrow F, and in both directions. It can be moved between a not shown insertion position, located inside the container, and an extension position, in which the hinged panel 4 in the open position at least partially forms a floor for the internal structure. When the rear opening is complete, it is preferable that the internal structure 11 is not completely extracted from the container and, in this case, part of its floor is simultaneously formed by the floor wall of the container.

The construction element 1 illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 8 differs from that just described by the fact that it has an articulated panel 17 which, here, does not form the entire side wall 4 of the container . Indeed, a part 34 of it remains fixed in the chassis 2. On the other hand, the internal structure 11 in the extended position covers only part of the articulated panel 17. The container here has a second folding panel in the form of the side wall 7. Provisions have been made inside the container, for example an entrance hall 18, separated from the central chamber 19 by a partition 20 and comprising wall cabinets 20 and 21, as well that a bay 22, closed by a door not shown, and giving access to a walkway formed by the side wall 7 in the deployed position. Similarly, opposite this entrance hall 18, a cabinet or an apparatus 23 is provided against the side wall 5 of the container. In the same way, it can also be provided that the height of the removable internal structure 11 is much less than the free height of the chamber 19, which allows the installation in place, in advance, for example of a system lighting.

In the example illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 8, the construction element comprises means for moving the structure in the direction F, in the form of rolling means. Here, these rolling means are rollers 24 (see FIG. 3) rotating freely around horizontal axes 25 supported by stirrups 26 fixed below the side panels 14 and 15 parallel to the internal structure 11. To be able to roll on the floor wall 27, for example, two parallel metal angles 28 are provided, one wing 29 of which is embedded in the floor wall 27, flush with the latter, and the other of which 30 projects vertically upwards, along the cabinet 23. In order to be able to roll on the internal surface 9 of the articulated panel 17, for example, two parallel metal angles 31 are provided (see FIG. 4), one wing 32 of which is embedded in the articulated panel 13, flush with its surface internal 9, and the other 33 of which projects vertically upwards, in the panel open position.

As can be seen in particular in FIG. 2, the embedded wing 29 of each angle iron 28 is in alignment with the embedded wing 32 of an angle iron 31 when the articulated panel 17 is in the open position. The embedded wings thus form two parallel rails on which the rollers 24 can roll.

Les cornières empêchent, pendant le déplacement de la structure interne 11, une déviation latérale de celle-ci par rapport à la direction F.As is shown in particular in FIGS. 3 and 4, the aforementioned rails, formed from the angles 28 and the angles 31, form guide means for additional rollers 35 also carried by the side panels 14 and 15 of the internal structure. These additional rollers 35 rotate freely around vertical axes 36 supported by stirrups 37 fixed below the side panels 14 and 15. These rollers cooperate, inside the container, with the vertical wings 30 of the angles 28 and, on the articulated panel 17, with the vertical wings 33 of the angles 31. The angles prevent, during the displacement of the internal structure 11, a lateral deviation of the latter relative to the direction F.

La position de renfoncement de la structure interne 11 est représentée en traits mixtes sur la figure 2.As shown in Figures 2, 5 and 6, the construction element 1 further comprises means for immobilizing the removable internal structure inside the container, when the hinged panel 17 is in the closed position. The recess position of the internal structure 11 is shown in phantom in FIG. 2.

According to the example illustrated here, in particular in FIG. 5, these immobilization means comprise abutment elements 38 in the form of sections of angles of which the two ends of the wings 39 and 40, mutually perpendicular, are fixed on the face internal side wall 6 of the container. These abutment elements are arranged opposite the rear vertical edges of the panels 14 and 15 of the internal structure 11, so that the external surface of the wings 40 is arranged in an oblique plane with respect to the direction F. Here the external surface of the wings 40 form an inclined plane of 45 ° relative to this direction. This surface carries a parallelepipedal block 41 of elastic material, the surface of which opposite the angle 38 is also arranged. in a plane inclined by 45 ° with respect to the direction F.

The two ends of the wings 43 and 44 of the angles are fixed to these edges so that the surface outer of the wings 43 is arranged in an oblique plane, here 45 °, relative to the direction F. When the internal structure 11 is in the recessed position, the external surface of each wing 43 comes into contact with the external surface of a block 41.

In this arrangement, when the internal structure 11 is somewhat pressed towards the rear wall 6, the immobilization means which have just been described prevent any movement of the internal structure 11 relative to the container, not only towards the rear, that is to say towards the wall 6, but also upwards. It is understood that other forms of immobilization means could be provided, and in particular separate means for immobilizing the internal structure with respect to a rearward displacement and an upward displacement .

In the illustrated embodiment, the vertical wings 30 of the angles 28 and the rollers 35 serve as means for immobilizing the internal structure 11 to prevent lateral movement of the latter relative to said direction F, in the closed position. hinged panel 17.

Ces éléments de blocage 45 sont prévus pour empêcher un déplacement vers l'avant de la strucutre interne 11, en position de fermeture du panneau articulé 17.Finally, the abovementioned immobilization means also comprise, in the example illustrated in particular in FIG. 6, blocking elements 45 which, in the closed position of the articulated panel 17, are arranged between the internal surface 9 of the articulated panel 17 and the front panel 13 of the internal structure 11. These locking elements 45 are provided to prevent a forward movement of the internal structure 11, in the closed position of the articulated panel 17.

In the example illustrated, the locking elements 45 consist of several sections of angle iron 46, one of the wings 47 of which is supported on the articulated panel so as to be able to pivot around an axis 49 parallel to the direction F. The other wing 48 extends perpendicularly to the internal surface 9 of the articulated panel 17, when the wing 47 is applied against the articulated panel 17, in its locked position. A buffer of elastic material is supported by the angle section 46, by means of a metal block 51 welded between the two wings 48 and 49. In the closed position of the articulated panel 17, the buffer 50 of each angle section 46 bears against the front panel 13, optionally as illustrated by means of a metal plate 52 supported by the front panel 13. The abutment and counter-abutment elements 38, 41 and 43 described above and the elements of blocking 45 described above are arranged so that the closure of the hinged panel allows pressing of the internal structure between these elements, in particular thanks to the elastic material parts thereof.

Using the immobilization means which have just been described above, the internal structure 11 is firmly stowed inside the container, during transport. The internal structure 11 does not undergo any work during the handling and transport of the construction element.

As shown in Figure 6 in broken lines and in Figure 2 in solid lines, when the hinged panel 17 is in the open position, the locking elements 45 are brought into a retracted position which frees the passage for the internal structure 11 and which is therefore outside of it in its extended position.

The building element according to the invention must be able to serve as habitable and heatable construction. It is therefore expected that sealing means isolate the interior from the outside, in the extended position of the internal structure 11. Various means known per se can be used for this purpose.

In Figure 7 is shown a sealing means of this kind. It is a tube made of elastic material 53 provided with sealing lips 54 and supported by a flange 75 projecting downwards from the ceiling wall 3. The upper panel 12 of the internal structure 11 supports along its rear edge an angle 55 including a wing 56 projecting upwards is applied against the sealing lips 54 in the extended position of the internal structure 11. It is obviously possible to provide a corresponding arrangement along the rear edges of the side panels 14 and 15 of the internal structure.

As is apparent in particular from FIGS. 3 to 5, the rollers supported by the panels 14 and 15 are separated from the internal volume of the structure 11 by a partition 57, L-shaped in cross section, which runs along the lower edge of each of these panels, as well as by an end plate 58. The spaces between the partitions 57 and the end plates 58 on the one hand, and the floor wall 27 or the internal surface 9 of the articulated panel 17, as well that the vertical wing 30 of the angles 28, on the other hand, are sealed using a sealing element 59. The latter is supported on the partitions 57 or the end plates 58 by means of of support plates 60 so as to rub in a flexible manner against the surface situated opposite while the internal structure is moving. As can be seen from FIG. 8, a similar arrangement can be provided along the front panel 13 of the internal structure 11.

One could of course provide other types of sealing elements in place of those described here or simultaneously with them. One could consider, for example, removable elements which would leave the internal structure free, during its movement, and which could be locked in the sealing position when the internal structure is in the extended position.

As can be seen from FIG. 8, it is possible according to the invention to provide means for locking the internal structure in the extended position on the articulated panel 17. The front panel 13 of the internal structure supports one or more plates of 'support 61 against which sections of metal profile abut 62, fixed on the internal wall 9 of the articulated panel 17. A wing 63 of each of these profile sections 62 is arranged so as to cooperate with the external surface of a plate support 61, in the extended position of the internal structure 11. In this way, the sections profile are part of the means which limit the outward travel of the internal structure 11.

A shaft 64 can be provided, projecting forward, on each support plate 61. This shaft is supported so as to be able to pivot around its axis and its free end has a latch element 65 in the form of a projection perpendicular to the pivot axis of the shaft 64. The profile sections 62 have in their wing 63 a lateral notch open on one side through which the shaft 64 and the latch element 65 can pass. horizontal position. When the wing 63 is in contact with the support plate 61, the latch element 65 can be made to pivot downwards in the position shown in FIG. 8 and it thus blocks any movement towards the rear of the internal structure 11.

It is obvious that other locking means can be provided, in particular with automatic closing, and that they can be provided not only on the articulated panel, but also on any other fixed part of the container.

Figures 9a and 9b schematically show another embodiment of the invention. In the figures, the part of the container, above the floor, has been removed to facilitate understanding.

The construction element illustrated differs from that which has just been described in that the rolling means provided here are two tracks of rollers 66 parallel to direction F and provided in the floor wall 27 so that they are flush or protrude slightly from the internal surface thereof. In their alignment, two roller tracks 67 are also provided, provided in the articulated panel 17 so that they are flush with or slightly protrude from the surface 9 of the panel. The lower edges of the side panels 14 and 15 of the internal structure 11 are arranged so as to be able to slide on the tracks of rollers 66 and 67.

In this exemplary embodiment, it could be envisaged that the internal surface of the floor wall and that of the hinged panel are not exactly coplanar. It is enough that the tracks of rollers and in particular the tops of these allow circulation of the internal structure on them.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 to 8, internal structure panels are provided in a resistant, but fairly light material, for example with a honeycomb texture, so as to allow possible movement by hand of internal structure. One can consider, for example, pushing it from the inside after entering the container through a door provided for this purpose. However, these panels must be self-supporting and advantageously they must be able to support equipment mounted in advance on their internal face.

An example of such a system is illustrated in FIGS. 9a to 9b. Drive means 69 and 70, in the form of cables guided by pulley systems, drive the internal structure along the direction F, in both directions, according to the command given here by a winch 71.

Ainsi qu'il ressort de la figure 1, le châssis 2 d'un conteneur suivant l'invention peut être supporté d'une manière connue sur une plate-forme 16 d'un véhicule de transport, qui est pourvu d'éléments de fixation 80 connus en soi sur lesquels les éléments de coin 8 inférieurs du châssis 2 peuvent être accrochés (voir par exemple GB-1603613).As can be seen from FIG. 1, the chassis 2 of a container according to the invention can be supported in a known manner on a platform 16 of a transport vehicle, which is provided with fastening elements 80 known per se on which the lower corner elements 8 of the chassis 2 can be hung (see for example GB-1603613).

If we consider the transportable building element 1 to form, for example, a mobile hospital unit, the commissioning thereof can be extremely rapid. After stopping the vehicle, the side wall 4 or respectively the articulated panel 17 is deployed outwards in a known manner, then the internal structure is moved to its extended position and locked in this position. The devices are already mounted in place on the 4 panels of the internal structure as well as on the rear wall and the floor of the container.

The stabilization of such a container is immediate because the vehicle provides sufficient counterweight to the weight of the structure internal supported cantilevered by the side panel. We can also provide in addition the use of stabilizers, for example hydraulic, known for stabilizing the trailer or truck chassis.

We can expect a time to commission a hospital unit in the deployed state of the order of 10 to 15 minutes. It takes approximately an hour or less to commission a complete hospital with several such units assembled and communicating with each other. Compared to the 6 hours generally required for setting up a hospital under a tent, this is a very great improvement.

In addition, compared to the constructions obtained by the deployment of a tent, the construction according to the invention offers the great advantage of a hard construction on which equipment can already be mounted in advance, and which offers better shelters from external phenomena, such as projectile splinters, radiation, rain, hail, etc., as well as very favorable thermal insulation.

It should be understood that the present invention is in no way limited to the embodiments which have just been described and that many modifications can be made thereto without departing from the scope of this patent.

In the embodiment illustrated in Figure 2, one could provide according to the invention an additional removable structure 76 which, in the extended position, would be in the position shown in broken lines on the wall 7 in the deployed position. This structure 76 moves in a direction F '.

One could also provide construction elements as illustrated in FIGS. 10 to 12. In FIGS. 11 and 12, the part of the container above the floor has been removed to facilitate understanding.

According to the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 10, the transportable building element 1 does not include any support or frame. The floor, ceiling and side walls are self-supporting. The construction element here comprises two articulated panels formed by two opposite side walls 4 and 6, which are of the type described in LU-A-85595.

A removable internal structure 11, corresponding to that described for the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 1, is arranged so as to rest, in the extended position, on the wall 4 brought into the open position. A second removable internal structure 72 is arranged so as to rest, in the extended position, on the wall 6 brought into the open position.

As can be seen from FIG. 11, the internal structure 72 is smaller than the internal structure 11 so that it can slide inside of it, when the structure 72 is embedded in the construction element . One could also imagine, instead of such structures 11 and 72, internal structures 73 and 74 not sliding one into the other in their recessed position, as is shown diagrammatically in FIG. 12.

The general shape of the container does not have to be rectangular. There are, for example, containers with raised ceilings for transport in suitable cargo planes. The invention remains perfectly applicable in this case. Likewise, the overall aspect of the internal structure does not necessarily have to be parallelepiped, for the same reasons.
