Abstract

The metal trunk has a parallelepiped base (2) that is made from a rectangular steel plate which is bent into a U-shape and its ends are closed by rectangular steel plates. A rectangular lid (3) is articulated on the back of the base (13). The upper part of the base has a peripheral outer pad (21,22) that forms a seat for the lid and is rectangular in cross-section.   The invention also aims, without reducing, or even increasing,

  lying about the robustness of the canteen which is the object, to improve the interior comfort, to bring it closer

  possible and in the simplest way, that of the vali-

  ses: firstly by eliminating any internal crevices and sharp edges, and, secondly, by bringing the interior volume of the canteen as close as possible to that of a

  geometric parallelepiped, the most roomy.

  While in some canteens of the prior art the bead, formed in portions in the four sides of the tank,

  directly in the sheet by folding to the template, remains integrated

  accessible and that the upper edge of the tank is ob-

  held either by folding the sheet, twice at right angles,

  inward, either by forming a rounding,

  - 4- armed with a cylindrical rod, we avoid, in others,

  these crevices by separately forming the bead, in the ga-

  barit, in a strip of sheet metal the upper part of which

  in addition folded in hook to the thickness of the sheet of the tank.

  This strip thus formed is then mounted, in portions, on the edge of each of the four faces of the tank and is welded to it,

  by points, above and below the bead.

  In the canteen described in the patent in France N 7713082,

  of the plaintiff, the bead is good, as in the first

  mier case cited, formed, in portions in the four sides of the tank, directly in the sheet by folding to the template, but the
