Abstract

The present invention relates to a bin built into a unit (1) which is opened by means of a pedal (5) causing a door (2) in the unit to tilt forward. This invention can take large-capacity bin liners, the weight of the rubbish being no impediment to the use of a pedal. In this invention, the bin liner and its support (bracket) (4) can be withdrawn by a simple pulling action. The complete bin can also be withdrawn in the same way. The pedal, which is independent of the bin, operates a lever (6) which lifts the rear of the bin and swings it forwards, the axis of rotation lying along the base of the door.
