Abstract

Fruit pressing machine, of small volume to allow its installation in public places and in view of the consumer, comprising drums 3 provided with semispherical cavities 4, the dimensions of which allow the fruit 1 citrus fruits to be received one by one to transport them up to the lower part where they are cut in two halves by a blade 6, machine having two other synchronized drums 7 provided with pluggers 8 with semi-spherical heads which attack the fruit halves to carry out their pressing, machine having a hose access 2 of the fruits 1 to the machine, of conduit 17 for collecting the juice and of a semicarter 18 which prevents splashing and, being of transparent material, makes it possible to follow the pressing operation.

  The essential characteristics of a new fruit pressing machine, specially designed for citrus fruits, for which the privilege of exclusive production and sale in Spain are given, are detailed in this specification and in the accompanying drawing. , in accordance with what is established in the

  Law-Statute of Industrial Property in force.

  The problem is solved, according to the invention, by the fact that the machine comprises a casing, inside of which is located in a vertical position an axis actuated from the outside by an electric motor, which has an endless screw, which acts on a set of toothed wheels which actuate two pairs of axes, a superior which actuates two almost tangent drums which rotate in opposite directions, and which are provided with hemispherical cavities which are brought to come face to face while turning, and in which the fruits are received one by one, these entering the machine through a feed tube located on one side thereof, conveying the fruit to the level below the point of tangency of these drums, where is located a blade mounted on a support which serves as a guide and which divides into two halves the fruits which remain housed in their respective cavities, and on which pluggers arrive with semi-spherical head, which are mounted on the drums integral with the two axes if killed at the lower level, and whose rotation is synchronized with that of the upper drums, the crushers exerting a compression action on the halves

  Referring therefore to the aforementioned drawings, it can be seen that the fruits, designated by 1, penetrate inside the machine, through a tubular supply duct 2, to fall following an inclined plane in a cavity of

  These drums 3 are provided on their periphery with cavities 4, of hemispherical shape, the dimensions of which have been calculated make it possible to receive the fruits one by one. As we indicated previously, these two drums have rotational movements in opposite directions, as indicated by the arrows, being integral with axes 5 (see Figure 2). Thus the fruit which is collected at the upper part is conveyed to the lower part, where it is cut into two halves by the blade 6 which is located between the two drums, each half of the fruit remaining housed in its respective cavity

in each drum.

  There are two other drums 7, synchronized with the fruit collecting drums 3, but arranged at one

  lower level, integral with axes 9, provided with

  dormice 8, whose hemispherical heads are of proportions appropriate to their role of press. The synchronization of the rotation of these drums 3 and 7 means that the fruit halves, as soon as they are cut and housed in the cavities 4, are immediately attacked by the crushers 8 which carry out their total pressing, a play remaining between the cavity and gland, calculated to be of the thickness of

  the rind of the fruit, approximately.

  The machine is actuated by means of an electric motor 10 with a speed reducer which acts directly on the toothed wheel 11 which meshes with other similar elements 12, each mounted on

  respective axes 5 and 9, these being mounted on cushions

  nets 13 and this assembly being mounted inside the casing 14 with an oil bath. The juice produced by the pressing action of the pluggers 8, which we have described, falls into a bowl of perforated material 15 which acts as a filter, not letting through

  that the juice and retaining the seeds and the pulp too thick.

  - - The juice falls into a deposit through the sieve, in another bowl 16, provided with a small tube 17 which serves

  filling the containers with fruit juice.

  For sanitary purposes, the part of the machine where the drums 3 and 8 are housed is protected by an easily removable semicarter 18, for cleaning the pressing members of the machine, and by a transparent material which

  allows you to see the pressing operation.

  - After having described the structure and the functioning of this fruit pressing machine, it remains only to say that the characteristics of the materials, sizes and shapes of the component parts can be variable, as long as this does not alter their essence, such

  that it is summarized in the following claims.

Fruit pressing machine, characterized in that it comprises a casing (14), inside which is in an upright position an axis actuated from the outside by an electric motor (10), which has a screw without   fine, acting on a set of toothed wheels (12) which   two pairs of axes (5,9), one superior (5) which   do two almost tangent drums (3) which rotate in   opposite directions, and which are provided with hemispherical cavities   spheres (4) which are brought to face each other by turning, and in which the fruits (1) are received one by one, these entering the machine by a feed tube (2) located on one side of that here, conveying the fruit at a level below the point of tangency of these drums (3), where there is a blade (6) mounted on a support which serves as a guide and which divides the fruit which remain housed in their halves respective cavities (4), and onto which plugs with hemispherical head (8) arrive, which are mounted on the drums (7) integral with the two axes (9) located at the lower level, and whose rotation is synchronized with that of the drums upper (3), the plugs (8) exerting a compression action on the fruit halves to press the juice, which falls on a perforated bottom (15), playing the role of filter, the filtered juice finally passing into a bowl ( 16) provided with a tube juice outlet (17).   2. Fruit pressing machine, according to the claim   previous tion, characterized in that the heads of the crushers (8) compressing the fruit halves have a slit which allows the passage of an extraction pallet which separates the bark from the already pressed fruits, from the heads of the crushers where they were able remain stuck, the expulsion of said bark being effected by lateral openings provided in the machine, the fruit cutting and pressing devices being protected by a semicarter (18) made of transparent material, easily removable to allow rapid and effective cleaning pressing devices and at the same time allow to see through it the cited operations.
