Pour pouvoir raccorder de façon étanche aux liquides une cuvette de W.C. à un tuyau d'évacuation existant, il faut donc sélectionner chaque fois une cuvette de W.C. qui présente ull ajutage d'évacuation de un diamètre approprié. Ceci entraî- ne une tenue de stocks coûteux et un montage long de la cuvette de W.C. L'ajutage d'évacuation est en général recouvert de tabliers en céramique, de sorte qu'il n'est pas visible lors du montage.Il arrive donc souvent que le tuyau d'évacuation soit positionné en biais par la pression de l'ajutage d'évacuation, ce qui provoque des défauts d'étanchéité. Comme le raccord n'est plus visible, on ne remarque pas cela aussitôt, de sorte que la cuvette de W.C. doit être retirée plus tard et être à nouveau montée, ce qui crée des désagréments supplémentaires en particulier en cas d'utilisation de colles.
