Abstract

Multichannel Al profiles are described for assembling and clamping glazed panels for roofs, etc. where the profiles incorporate channels to collect and lead off local condensation etc. The profiles include a sec. strip bolted to the first and used to support an external joint capping profile. Pref. thermal contact between the glazing panels and the channel/clamping profiles is interrupted by intermediate seal profiles which pref. are of neoprene (RTM - polychloroprene) or EPT (ethylene propylene terpolymer rubber). Pref. seal profiles of neoprene (polychloroprene) are used where condensate collected by the profile channels are transferred to separate drains.
