Abstract

The terminal block is for insulated cables and is used typically as part of a fuseholder. The body (1) of the joint is cut from a single piece and the arms (4) held together by a locking piece which is threaded and partially split to provide a lock thread for the screw (9). The cable is clamped by screwing the plate (10) onto the cable and the points on the plate and cut into the base pierce the insulation and make good contact with the body of the cable. There is thus no need to pre-strip the cable.
