Abstract

A lockable nut, especially for use in an electrical connector, has a groove (46) extending across one end face of the body of the nut (30), so that when the grooved face of the nut is positioned against a mounting panel, a hole is formed through which a safety wire may be passed for securement to the panel. The groove (46) does not intersect the central opening of the nut. The groove (46) may be curved.
