Abstract

1,254,304. Electric couplings. H. WOERTZ, and O. WOERTZ, [trading as OSKAR WOERTZ Inh H. & .O WOERTZ]. 6 Dec., 1968 [13 Feb., 1968], No. 58116/68. Heading H2E. Terminals 14 may be interconnected by a plug 24 having an insulative grip portion 25 and metallic plug blades 26 which abut limbs 18 of terminals 14. Conductors are clamped to terminals 14 between longitudinally grooved spring strips 23 and limbs 16 by operating screws 19 which are threaded through the sides of tubes 15 and abut limbs 16. Limbs 16 and 18 may be grooved, and limbs 16 are locked in a synthetic thermoplastic body 10 in grooves (27) in a portion 12 of the body and opposing grooves (28) (Figs. 2, 3, not shown) in a smaller portion (13) which is secured to portion 12 by welding or gluing a projection (32) into a hole 33. A rib (30) of portion (13) co-operates with a groove 31 in portion 12 and serves to spread plug blades 26 apart into closer contact with limbs 18.
