Abstract

918,316. Two-part couplings; binding posts. MIDLAND ELECTRIC MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Sept. 27, 1961 [Nov. 11, 1960], No. 38763/60. Class 38 (1). A cable connector comprises a body part 10 of channel cross-section providing a base 11 and sides 12 with a closure member 15 detachably connected thereto and a clamping screw 14 extending through a threaded aperture in the base 11 with a head larger than the aperture. As shown, the edges of member 15 rest in grooves 17 in the walls 12 and the member constitutes one side of a plug-pin-receiving socket 16, the pin 20 being pressed against this side by a resilient member 19.
