Abstract

The connector, for connecting a cable to a battery terminal, consists of only three or four parts. The first or main part makes the connection with the terminal (A) and consists of an elastic locking collar (2) with a cylindrical inner surface. The second part (6) forms the top of the connection to the terminal and consists of a disc with a central hole to locate a plastic insulating cap (25) that covers the terminal connection. The third part comprises the bridging piece that connects the terminal connection to the cable connection. The fourth part is the cable connection and consists of a U-shaped bracket (13) with a roundhead clamping screw (16) that presses against the bared cable end.
