Abstract

The rotary mower comprises an arm (5) which extends horizontally above the ground. This arm contains the drive mechanism for the forage cutting heads (2), belts and pulleys (6,7,8) being used. Each cutting head is fitted in line along the arm and comprises a bar type cutter blade (3). The blades are diametrically opposed to each other and contrarotate (f) in order to provide an overlapping cutting action. A guide disc (4) is fitted onto each head, inclined forwards in the direction of travel, and a fixed plate (10,11) at the rear arranges the cut forage into swathes.
