Abstract

The tractor power take off drives, through belt (2), shafts (3, 4) located on either side of the axial plane of the machine. The inclined shafts converge at the bottom, so that the circular saws (5, 6) which they support and which cut the vines are secant in relation to one another. The power take off drives, through a reduction device, two circular vine lifting plates (10, 11) which have radial blades and peripheral points (20). The shafts (3, 4) bear S shaped steel blades (12) which chop the vines and which create a current of air to eject the chopped vines to the rear of the machine. A three point support linkage varies the cutting height and the positions of the plates (10, 11) are adjustable by pivoting the plate mounting arms along guides.
