Abstract

1403194 Lawnmower MACLAREN SNOW LTD 15 Aug 1972 [18 Aug 1971] 38693/71 Heading A1F A mowing machine includes a drum 5 in which an auger 13 rotates and cooperates with a fixed blade 8 to cut the crop. The cuttings are discharged by the auger 13 through an outlet 18 into a grass box 19. The blade 8 may have a straight or a serrated edge as shown. The auger 13 shown has left and right handed flights to bring the cuttings to the centre, and a plate 17 betwen the flights helps to eject the cuttings. The end of one flight may overlap the other, Fig 4 (not shown), to ensure a complete cut at the centre.
