Abstract

The cooking hood forms part of the line of storage units in a kitchen and comprises a filter unit (22) fitted behind a front panel (7). This panel is pulled forwards, the unit moving out to a stop. The panel is pushed upwards (11), level with the base of the unit and pivoted forwards (15). This exposes the grease filters, one fixed (17) and the other (18,19) sliding over it. Fumes and steam are drawn in by a fan (21) over an activated carbon filter (20) to remove smells, and the air is exhausted back into the kitchen (25) or externally (26).
