a. Procédé pour réduire les ségrégations produites par moulage continu de l'acier. b. Caractérisé en ce qu'on ajoute de l'acier froid solide dans la poche de coulée ou directement dans le moule, ce qui permet de refroidir l'acier pour éliminer la surchauffe, l'acier froid solide se présente sous la forme d'un fil, d'une tige, de copeaux de granulés, de poudre, etc.
