Abstract

The generator comprises a column filled to the top with a liquid, e.g. water, its base immersed in a reservoir of the liquid. A series of spheres with lesser density than the liquid are supplied to the base of the column, so that they float up it in turn. At the top of the column the sphere exit into an inclined chute and drop into respective receptacles attached to a vertical conveyor band returning them to the base of the column. The conveyor band is passed around two vertically spaced cog wheels, the shaft of at least one of which is complied to an electrical alternator.
