Abstract

The chute has a tower structure with a rectangular base and bracing members for each level. The chute consists of a number of straight runs (5) of troughs making a steep angle with the horizontal. Each trough discharges into the trough at the lower level. The chute may be fitted with side extensions (3) to enable distant chutes (4) to be used. The bags are straightened in each chute by the side guides (6). The chutes may be fitted with endless belts to regulate the speed of the bag.
