A magnetic prime mover is provided in the shaft for aiding the rotation of the wheel. Provision for using manual power for augmenting this rotation is provided by means of a chain drive. In addition, a blower powered by a motor is used to blow air directed at the empty buckets to force the wheel to move in the desired direction. The periphery of the Wheel has small multiple extensions in the form a plate. Description
POLLUTION FREE POWER GENERATION
DESCRIPTION
Field of the Invention The present invention generally refers to a novel method to generate power (electrical energy). More particularly, the invention is a method of generating power without causing any pollution.
Background of the invention
Power consumption is rising phenomenally these days. The indiscriminate extraction of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, natural gas has resulted in an alarming depletion of these fossil fuels. The use of fossil fuels has resulted in severe environmental pollution and global warming.
Clean alternative sources of energy such as Wind energy, Solar energy, Hydroelectric are not available at all times. There is therefore a need for a method of generation of power without causing pollution. Most importantly, this method of power generation should be available at all times.
Objective of the invention
An object of the invention is to generate power without causing any environmental pollution.
Another object of the invention is to generate power without the need of using any fossil fuels or external power from a grid.
Yet another object of the invention is to use the gravitational force as one of the input for the generation of power.
The above objects and other features and advantages of the present invention, as well as the structure and operation of various embodiments of the present invention, are described below in detail.
Summary of the invention
A wheel (prime mover) comprising multiple hanging buckets, is fixed to a shaft which in turn is connected to a power generator. The buckets are filled with steel balls causing the buckets to be pulled down due to gravity and resulting in the wheel to rotate. After the bucket containing the steel balls reach the bottom, the balls fall
down and are cycled back using a conveyor belt powered by a motor. A magnetic prime mover is provided in the shaft for aiding the rotation of the wheel. Provision for using manual power for augmenting this rotation is provided by means of a chain drive. In addition, a blower powered by a motor is used to blow air directed at the empty buckets to force the wheel to move. An additional mechanism to boost the movement of the wheel is provided by a hydraulic support device. The periphery of the Wheel has small multiple extensions in the form a plate of an indicative size of about 30 mm by 100 mm area. These plates are periodically given a push by means of hydraulic support to ensure that the movement of the Wheel does not stop. The combined effect of all these causes the wheel to rotate continuously resulting in continuous power generation. This invention discloses a method and an apparatus, to produce electrical power without causing any pollution. In addition, the machine is self sufficient and does not require the use of electric power from a grid or stored energy from a battery for operation.
The prime mover (wheel) is mounted on a main shaft. This main shaft is fitted with one major magnetic prime mover on either side of the prime mover. Multiple buckets are suspended (and hang freely ) on the periphery of the wheel. A conveyor mechanism is provided near the top of the wheel such that the conveyor feeds steel balls onto these buckets at a desired adjustable rate. These buckets are capable of holding a few steel balls. These steel balls have sufficient mass so that they will enable the wheel to rotate due to gravity force. When the bucket is filled with steel balls, the bucket is pulled down due to the gravitational force. During one half of rotation of the wheel, the buckets hold the steel balls. During the latter half of the rotation, the buckets position is inverted thereby causing the steel balls to fall down. These are collected by the conveyor system and again fed to the buckets at the top of the wheel. A teeth wheel is attached to the prime mover. This wheel is in turn connected to two shafts by means of a chain and sprocket mechanism. The first shaft is connected to a Low RPM Plant managing generator by means of belt and pulley arrangement and a
gear box. The second shaft is connected to a Power generator by means of belt and pulley arrangement and a gear box along with a fly wheel.
The main shaft sprockets rotate the free-wheel half turn with huge amount of force through chain. The free-wheel converts the turn of main shaft into a continuous rotation of the gearbox. The flywheel- stores the energy and produces a constant rotation to enable the generator to produce the electrical power. (Note: There will be additional step up gearbox needed, if more rpm is required to run the generator and this additional gearbox is to be located between flywheel and generator).
On either side of the buckets in the prime mover, the wheel contains a hollow portion (as seen in Fig 3) which is the self motivative liquid rotor. This hollow portion may be filled with a liquid partially. The design of the hollow portion is such that, the liquid is oriented more towards the outer periphery of the wheel during one half of the rotation, which aids in the rotation of the wheel along the direction of the gravitational force. During the other
half of the rotation, when the liquid in the wheel is moving against the gravitational force, the liquid is oriented towards the center of the wheel (towards the shaft) and therefore the resistance to the movement is reduced. An important point to note is that the Plant managing generator, is a small generator running in low RPM and generates a small amount of power. This power is sufficient to run the conveyor belt, the air motor and the hydraulic support provided in the invention.
This invention will help to generate power without any exhaust gases thereby resulting in generation of green power and thereby save the Earth from global warming.
While the foregoing disclosure shows illustrative aspects of the disclosure, it should be noted that various changes and modifications could be made herein without departing from the scope of the disclosure. Furthermore, although elements of the disclosure may be described or claimed in the singular, the plural is contemplated unless limitation to the singular is explicitly stated.
