Abstract

Le tube comporte deux joints de fermeture situés chacun respectivement au niveau de la fenêtre d'entrée et au niveau de la fenêtre de sortie du tube. La face d'entrée de la galette de microcanaux est recouverte d'une couche en métal léger (Al par exemple) de faible épaisseur, éventuellement prolongée d'une façon étanche jusqu'au corps du tube, ce qui a pour effet d'éviter un bombardement ionique de la photocathode. Le getter est réalisé sous forme de couches de matériau portées par l'écran et la face de sortie de galette. Ces positions et forme de getter le rendent particulièrement efficace du fait que ledit getter se trouve place en vue directe des phénomènes de désorption, notamment ceux se produisant dans les canaux. Selon le procédé de construction du tube, le matériau getter est vaporisé à partir d'une source éloignée des surfaces à recouvrir ce qui est possible grâce au joint de fermeture prévu au niveau de la fenêtre de sortie et qui permet l'éloignement temporaire de ladite fenêtre par rapport à la galette au cours de l'élaboration du tube.
