Abstract

La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de fabrication de fibres de carbone Elle est caractérisée en ce qu'on traite des fibres de brai à l'aide d'un mélange gazeux contenant de l'air et un agent gazeux oxydant, en opérant dans un four de traitement d'infusibilité divisé en au moins deux chambres placées en série, puis en effectuant la carbonisation des fibres de brai ainsi traitées pour les transformer en fibres de carbone. Elle se rapporte au domaine des fibres de carbone.
